The 15th Japan Media Arts Festival's open call for applications is until September 22nd.
Applicants can apply for any of the 4 sections: Fine Art; Entertainment; Animation; and Manga. As last year's festival numbered 70,000 visitors, it shows that the festival is a great way to introduce your art to a large and appreciative audience.
An exhibition of the jury-selected works will be held at the National Art Center in Tokyo from February 22 to March 4, 2012.
Fine Art submissions can be artworks made from electronic devices or computers and can be in the form of interactive art, installations, video, photographs, websites, etc.
Substantial monetary awards and prizes will be given for winning works in each of the 4 divisions.
