William Lee "Willie" Pineda, Sr. 59, San Marcos, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at St. David's Medical Center in Austin. Willie was born on February 6, 1952, in San Marcos to Maria Villarreal Pineda and Fernando Pineda. He was a life long resident of San Marcos and worked at Texas State University in custodial services and finished his career as a steam engineer. Willie attended the H.L. Grant Student Catholic Center in San Marcos and was a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and friend to most everyone who knew him. Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Yolanda Rodriguez Pineda of San Marcos; children, William Lee Pineda, Jr., Cassandra Jacqueline Pineda, Analicia Dominique Pineda and Matthew Gerald Pineda all of San Marcos; two grandchildren, Joshua Garrett Pineda and Ailea Lei Lopez; three brothers, Francisco Pineda, Juan Luis DeLeon both of San Marcos and Gerald David Bell of Harvey, Louisiana; three sisters, Alicia Pineda, Aracelis Flaten and Gregoria Jane Villalpando all of San Marcos; in-laws, Juan and Janie Rodriguez of Round Rock, Texas. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at Thomason Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday with a Memorial Service to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue until 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. We've shared a number of tips on how to make lasting resolutions during the new year, but if you're at a loss for good resolutions this year, here are some good ones that are surprisingly easy to keep. 
If you have a little trouble keeping your spending in check, the best resolution is to start keeping a budget. With a tool like Mint, it's actually very easy to craft your budget and track each purchase you make, so you can stay responsible without having to do a ton of work.
